How long do my rabbits take to have Babies and do they need straw to make a nest?

The normal gestation period for rabbits is 31 days, though that can vary from 28-32 days (or longer, if there are complications). On the 28th day it is a good idea to put a nest box in and provide nesting material such as hay or straw so the doe can make her nest. The doe will also pull fur, but additional bedding material is important.
