I have a new flock of mostly one year old hens and I also got a free hen (Golden laced Wyandotte) and a rooster (not sure of the breed). He is very docile, friendly, and doesn't crow loudly. Could this be because he is old? I really like him and am hoping nothing happens to him. How can you tell how old a chicken is?
