How long do turkey poults need to stay on a 28-30% protein diet

My Turkey poults are a little over 4 weeks old and growing by leaps and bounds.
How long should they stay on a 28-30% starter feed before moving them to a grower feed that only about 21% protein. My turkey grower feed bag says "from 4 weeks on" but I don't want to deprive them of needed protein and I also don't want to give them more than what they need.
Also how old before they're out of the brooder and into a coop or giving them fresh cut grass?

So what does it say on the bag of starter? I suggest err on the side of caution and keep them on starter longer. We try not to let ours on the actual ground (dirt/grass) until after 6 weeks old and have so far had GREAT success. (Lost 2 out of over 30 poults)

Last year we had 3 guinea keets that we took off starter after 4 weeks because we did not want to buy another bag of starter late in the season for only three birds. We switched them to 20% flock raiser. Those three never got as big as our other guineas. Those three bonded with one of our toms and run to him for protection. the other guinea do not even think about challenging the turkeys.

Well, I actually don't have a starter feed bag I can look at because I feed an organic soy feed turkey grower to the BBB poults since the company that mills my feed didn't have a turkey starter feed. I supplement the turkey grower with freeze dried meal worms and blended hard boiled eggs (recommended by other BYC subscriber's) the feed company said just to increase the protein content by adding in more of something else that I couldn't find and now 4 weeks later, I'm not sure what that was.
Thanks for the information. I'll continue that for somewhere between 2 and 6 more weeks just to be sure I guess, unless someone else has other options to increase the protein other than the hard boiled eggs

Probably soy bean meal - it's ~50% protein.

You can use fish meal, that's what I do for mine to boost the protein, it is around 60-65% protein.
