How Long Does A Broody Hen Stop Laying Eggs?

I have a broody hen that has stopped laying eggs. She's been a lot less broody for the past 4-7 days, but hasn't laid eggs since 3/10/10.

How long do broody hens typically stop laying eggs when they are broody?

I'd love to have the answer to this one, too! Will they start laying soon after the chicks are hatched, or do they play mommy for a while before going back in to production?

I guess my hen sensed that I was getting frustrated with her!

When I got home from work, I saw that she laid an egg.

Hens won't lay until they are done with their chicks they are brooding. This could be 8 weeks or longer depending on how long they tolerate the chick.
