My peahen started laying her eggs a week ago yesterday (I believe). She's laid 5 eggs so far. I'm wondering how long it takes for her to lay a clutch, and at what point she should be setting on them.

I have a couple of broody hens I'd like to place the eggs under before the eggs spoil, if needbe. I'm a little confused at the moment.

they lay ever other day, so depend on how many egg , but 2 weeks as most don't lay more than 7 per clutch. You can pull the eggs and keep until you have enought to set, broody hens 5 eggs are a good number to set
