how long does it take for an egg to hatch... from the time it is laid to the time the chick pecks out???

21 days in the bator, sometimes a bit longer.

Yes 21 days plus or minus. I had one hatch on the 26th day. I wrote it off for bad but didn't take time time to uplug the incubator. I was wailting for the weekend to have the time to deal with the cleaning and putting away etc. Then out of the blue a peep peep was heard and we had a chick.
