How long from internal pip

Quick question. How long can a duckling go after internal pip to external pip? Two of my duck eggs having pipped yet and I was wondering if I should make a safety hole yet?

They should externally pip within 24 hours after internally pipping.

Thank you! I put a small safety about the size of a pin in the two duck eggs that hadn’t piped. They had both internally pipped. Hopefully they’ll be all right!
