How long is a hen fertile?

I was wondering how long a hen is fertile. I got two RIR hens from a friend two months ago that were with roosters. I just built and dialed in an incubator. One of my hens is laying every other day. Should I bother trying to hatch a few or get a few from my buddy's hens. Thanks.

A month at the most, fertility greatly decreases after the first week.

My cousin-in-law, the poultry Doctorate, says that fertility is maintained at optimal level if the roo is w/the hens 2 hours per week.

That was fast. Thanks for the replies. I guess I need some eggs. Or a conjugal visit I've seen that some people get eggs from Sonew. I might try those.
