How long is Started Pullet season? When do folks stop/slow buying them?

I hope this is the right section for this question.

I put a couple extra roosters up for sale on my local classifieds and I got 3 texts within 2 days from people looking for started pullets. One poor lady actually called me and asked if I had any extra pullets because her dog ate hers and she did not want to start over.

It got me wondering, how long is the season for started pullets? My guess was from March through June when folks are kind of looking to get some chickens. I'm sure some people will buy pullets year round, but what months are hot for selling started pullets?

December?! Holy smokes! That's good to know. I'm growing out some SLW's and want to pick the best ones in a couple months and sell the rest. If I can get $15 in Aug/Sept it should cover the feed costs.

I'm raising 15 sexlinks and 5 EE/Leghorn mixes for eggs. If I would have purchased 30 I could sell 15 of them easily and would have paid for raising the other 15. Next time I will know.

It looks like point of lay birds are going for $15-$20 around here. Is that the case where you are?

I love that old addage. Whatever people will pay. We seem to have a pretty good market here so I'll start on the higher end when I get some pullets for sale. I have been able to sell four extra roosters so far this spring.

My point of lay Pullets are usually $20. There are folks on my local CL who advertise them cheaper and they may sell faster, but I always sell out within 2 weeks or so of posting an ad.

I can't sell roosters for anything, though.
