How long till a Sumatra or a Phoenix get their long tail feathers?

My friend wants a rooster with long tail feathers. But she wants to know which one gets their long tails faster...Thank you.

the phoenix and Sumatra don't molt the tail so it takes a bit for them to get really long. the phoneix get a longer tail but to do that you have to keep them out of the mud/ snow ect.

I believe 2 years for the Sumatra to get their full tails and I don't know for the Phoenix since they're tails grow so long.

Both phoenix and sumatra do molt their tails. Generally they both molt yearly, a few phoenix will molt every other year. It takes my cubablayas about 8-12 weeks to grow a full tail( after a molt, or initially when growing the first real tail) I imagine that a phoenix tail would take somewhat longer to grow to full length, but not nearly 2 years, unless you are lucky enough to have a phoenix that molts every other year.
