how long till the eggs come?

we got our first chickens in late Jan. or early Feb. We had a neighbors dog kill all but 1 black sex link. I was wondering how long it takes to get the first egg from the soul survivor ( we named her "LUCKY") After the massacre I purchased more peeps to keep Lucky company but I do not know how soon to expect our first egg, or if possibly it might take longer because of the trauma.

Aww, I'm sorry! I believe many hens start laying around 6 months, but mine have been anywhere from six months to eight months. My Swedish Flower Hen just started laying this week, and she was born in December. My Marans were born in January and no eggs yet.

When they do the egg stance ( bend down with head down when you go near them. There close to laying. Sexlinks lay around 5 / 6 months.good layers to.
