How long to keep with Mama?

Ok, guys how long do I keep mother and babies confined to the dog kennel away from the rest of the chickens? Should I let the door open and will she keep the kids safe?

As long as she doesn't have too many kids, she can keep them safe from the others. Most birds won't bother a broody, but it will depend on your flock dynamics.
