I know I have read something on this here, but of course cannot find the information now.

I orderered some eggs that I know will be over a week old when I recieve them. Also traveling from Florida to Oregon.
Think there is any hope???????

Thank You

I'm from Oregon to! I am no where near as experienced as the others here, but I ordered Call duck eggs from the mid-west with some in that batch hitting the two week mark. The one duckling that hatched from that group was from one of the oldest eggs. I think, and I am sure others will chime in, that I read that you start dropping you fertility rates after week one or 10 days, somthing like that, but eggs can be good for up to three weeks. I think there is lots of hope, personally. Good luck!

They will still be good. I would be worried more about them traveling in the heat than the age of the egg. Look at it this way, if a hen lays 10 eggs and sits on her own eggs to hatch them the first egg she laid would be 10 days old and it still hatches.
