Help,
I have introduced two new chickens to my flock and it has been a nightmare. Fighting now for two weeks. They fight and run them out of the coop every night and I have to go put them in myself. How long will this last. I cant build a separate coop for two chickens.
This has to stop!!

I thought so. You need to make sure that the Two are getting enough feed and water. One thing you can do is, once all the eggs have been laid, lock the other hens out of the coop with the Two inside. Then when it's time for bed, they will be too busy eating to cause a fuss. And the Two will already be in the house so no carrying.

It can't go on forever. Once they get big, they should be able to stand up to the others.

At daylight all 5 have been coming out and free ranging all day. I have multiple feed and water stations on my 1/2 acre they free range on so they dont have to be at the same one at the same time. They still chase the new ones some during the day but they can get away easily. The new chickens are submissive and dont attempt to fight back at all. The main issue is at dark when they start heading back to my chicken tractor/ coop. It is big enough for more than 5 chickens so size shouldnt be an issue. There are two roosting poles. The old chickens jump the new ones as soon as they stick their heads in the coop. They run them out and continue to do so till it is to dark for the new ones to see to get in. They act scared to even try most of the time.
I didnt expect this long of a issue. I figured they would fuss a little over a couple of days not weeks!
