How long?

Ok so i rescued some hens from a bad situation. Their water was basically diarrhea.... well their eggs right now taste how their previous water smelled.... how long drinking fresh clean water do you think before the nasty water is flushed out enough to no longer taste it in their eggs?

I was thinking a week. I can't wait to enjoy the eggs but right now its a stomach flipper....

I'm honestly not sure. id just test the eggs every day to see if they smell ok (keep a bucket handy in case they are still smelling bad)

Well it isn't the smell its the taste. They taste how their previous water smelled.

Update: the eggs taste amazing now. So it took just about a week.
