There are seven different breeds in this picture. How many can you identify? There is one "exotic" free chick smack dab in the middle of the picture that I have a guess on, but I don't know for certain what that one is. What do you think?

Barred Rock (or Production Black?)
Silver Laced Wyandotte
Easter Egger
Production Red
Welsummer
White Polish? (Can't see the heads or feet too well on the light colored ones.)
Blue... something is my guess for the exotic. Would love a pic of this one up close!

Thanks for the fun guessing game

You've got three correct and the white ones are polish, but not white polish.

Wow, only 3?

I'm going to guess again on these but you don't have to tell the answers until others make some guesses!

Hm, instead of Welsummers they could be Speckled Sussex... or Brown Leghorn for that matter.

No idea what other color the Polish could be, I think Black Crested Whites have a grey tinge to them so not those, hm...

And otherwise I'm not sure, it would be great to get others guessing

Well, I should give you four I guess. The reds are hatchery RIRs which many people refer to as production reds (I often do so myself), so you get that one as well.

You also got another with your corrected guess so that's five!

It's getting low on the list so I doubt there will be more guesses. The six known breeds are: barred rock, RIR, silver laced wyandotte, speckled sussex, Easter egger, and buff laced white polish. I think the little blue guy might be a blue andalusian, but I'm not sure.

Buff Laced White! They're going to be very pretty.

Would love to see the blue one as he/she grows up, but Blue Andalusian makes sense to me. Though guess it could also be a Blue Orpington?

Blue orp would be an option if they came from elsewhere but these are from McMurray and from looking at the list of breeds they have, Andalusian looks to be the best bet. I can't get a good look at him right now as I am vacationing in California and depending on my husband to send me pictures of the babies. I'm looking forward to getting home to see them and our new guineas.
