I got her because that was the only other day old pullet the breeder had, and I wanted to get 3 birds total. I got 2 Blue ? Jersey Giants?, that were supposed to have been Blue Australorps. I wouldn't have picked her out, simply because of the price -- $30.
She hasn't started laying yet, going on 7 months old, but I wasn't expecting any of the newbies to lay until January-February. The JGs started in November.
Widget is, though, the prettiest bird in the flock. She likes to peck at my shoes. This is Miss Widget back in late August.
