How many drakes to ducks?

Yes they can pair up and when they do they don’t do well to separate
My pekin and khaki would be very depressed without each other
Their was no way I could have sold them together even if I had known beforehand, because The Rouen was mine and the Pekin is my sister’s. We have our flocks altogether. The Pekin was her first duck too and I couldn’t have asked her to sell her

Do you know… will she ever come out of it? Her belly is hanging down a lot so when she walks it takes most of her feathers off her belly.

I’m not to sure about the low belly
I
Myself haven’t had that issue yet
Could you post a video of it
Meh help to figure it out
As for the depression yes they can come out of it but no way to know how long it will take
@Miss Lydia @DuckyDonna have had ducks loose mates abd maybe able to weigh in more
They also might know who to tag about the low belly issue

looks like she may have ascites[water belly] If you look it up you will find info on it. This may be what is going on with her. She may not be feeling so good.

I have 9 Hens and 5 drakes. I traded 4 very large drakes for 4 small Call ducks and have one Mallard/Rouen small Drake. I won't know until spring if size makes any difference on not being so hard on my Hens but I am praying that it does. Feathers on their backs were getting all broken off from the large males mating them so much. I am hoping these little ducks won't be able to hurt them as much as they snip at them if they are doing something they don't like. They are only a few months old so time will tell.
