I need to ship some turkey eggs (White Midgets) and want to use the large Priority flat rate box. Obviously the bubble wrap and other cushioning is going to take up a fair part of the volume inside. I figure some you other turkey folks have already dealt with this so how many eggs were you able to safely pack and ship in a large flat rate Priority box?

We don't use the large flat rate boxes as they aren't tall enough to give enough cushion top and bottom. We use the #7 box and you can fit 16 eggs per box. The breakage rate is next to zero and hatchabilty is good for shipped eggs. We have the detailed packing method on our website.

I was oblivious to the restriction on box size. I use a larger box too. Price is usually the same or less than the large fixed rate priority box. My hens are all in their first season so eggs are not quite as large as they will be at the end of the season or next year.
