How many eggs do Scovy's Lay per year?

My husband is bringing home a full grown Scovy tonight...

Sheesh I love that man!
Anyway, I'm curious find out how many eggs I can expect from her per year.

I had 2 a few years back and would usually get 90-100 from both of them so I'd guess about 40-50 with just one. I had problems with mine going broody, even if I was diligent in egg collection. They were the first ever fowl I had raised myself so I still had a lot to learn.

Perhaps if you could keep them from going broody and loosing a month or two at a time from laying, you might get more.

I have one scovy that goes broody and one that does not. If I collect the eggs then neither will go broody. They don't sit on air like my chickens do. One of my hens last year started laying in January. I would say I get close to 150-200 eggs a year from my best laying hen.

my hen lays an egg every single day, she layed a week after i got her, and layed every day through the winter, she's been broody three times this year, unfortunatly hasn't hatched anything, but she starts laying within a week or so after going out of being broody.

I wish she would hatch something once LOL.

Mine are VERY seasonal. They are already slowing down for the year, and will start up early next spring.

And expect Broodies!! I have at LEAST one broody scovy every year...


ETA : mine arent all that young though. Im not sure of the age but I would guess at least 3 years old.

Mine started laying in Jan this year first itme ever, but we had some warmer weahter and the drakes got frisky so they laid , then Feb hit with a vengence and they stopped and are just now getting started again. out of my 10 ducks well 9 one is sitting on goose eggs, I am still only getting 2-3 eggs a day, but season is early.
