I get 8 a day ,I have 12 chickens .

I have 6 chickens and a roo i get between 5 to 6 eggs a day. Hope to be getting a few more chickens soon just got rid of about 8 roosters

I have chickens that range from not quite a year old to 8 years of age. They range in breeds, too, from a bantam White Leghorn to Welsummer. The number of eggs depends on age, breed and health, and even the weather! (heat really slows them down.) Some of my hens haven't laid eggs for years, some lay almost daily. FYI, even the best layers will slow down after the first year - usually you'll see a reduction of 20% the second year. But, again, that's unique to each hen. Some keep laying, some don't. So, with all of that said, I'm getting an average of 8 eggs a day from a very mixed flock of 21 hens.

x2 as terryg said - there are a LOT of variables.

My Easter Egger and Ideal 236 (white Leghorn Hybrid) are giving me 6 and a fraction per week.
My two barred Plymouth rocks are giving me something like 3.6 per week over a year period. (so basically every-other-day with some extra days thrown in).

The BPRs started in May of last year, the Easter Egger in Feb. of this year, and the Ideal 236 last October, I think, so all mine are young and heading to their prime laying periods. I had a gold sexlink that laid a jumbo egg daily like clock work. If you want a lot of eggs, investigate having a hybrid.

Check out www.Eggzy.net too, if you enter your eggs daily it will give you statistics on your flock which gives interesting insights.

Translated to daily, I guess it is most days 3 some days 4 or two from 4 layers........... We're up to about 18 eggs per week now....from hens.

BTW it sounds like your hens are doing very well.... :O)

I have 14 hens in one coop most are about a year old with several assorted breeds (EE, RSL, BR, Polish, RIR and some "mutts") I wormed them a couple weeks ago and went from getting on average 6 eggs a day I am now getting 8-10 eggs a day.
In my other coop I have 8 Cochin Bantam hens but they keep going broody (4 of them right now) and I only get 2-4 eggs a day from them. They are about 7 months old now.

I have a pen set up much like yours...My 10 LF are laying about 6-8 eggs a day while the bantam girls are laying about 4-5 with a pen of 7 hens in there...The weather is so crazy here..80 degrees in March in Indiana!

Thats how it is here right now! I can't beileive it feels more like the middle of July, but it's raining now so it's cooling down
