How many eggs for broody

When my hen ( bantam ) went broody for the first time.
So I gave her 10 eggs ( 8 bantam 2 lf ) she hatched all
Second time greed of more chicks made me give her 12 eggs
8 hatched ( 4 were raw )

How many eggs should I give her ??
Any advice would help

The general rule of thumb is no more than she can cover at one time. My bantam Silkies can do maybe 6 LF eggs up to 11 Bantam eggs. It just depends on the size of the hen so there isn't a solid and hard rule here. My LF hens do 11 LF eggs easy.

You should still candle by week 2(10 or so days) and pull the dud eggs to make life easier on her as well. I can usually spot live ones by then and I am inexperienced.

I would give her how every many she and keep covered. Broody hens and chicks are fun to watch!!

So she has successfully hatched ( 8 hers and 2 lf ) eggs that means she can cover 11-12 her eggs ??
Or 10 hers eggs will enough ??
