how many eggs

i am new to silkies and my hen has started to laying, about how many will she lay before setting?

normally a chicken will lay 1 egg per day until she has a clutch. Could be 5 to 10 days. Then she will skip a day & start over.

She may not go 'broody' (want to hatch the eggs) at all or for a long time. She may want to all the time. Each bird is different. I've heard people say that whenever their silkie hears baby chicks they go broody. I'm not sure as mine are not yet laying eggs.
