How many female quail to a male quail.

How many female quail to a male quail because I have quail chicks that are 4 weeks and 3 days and I think I have 6 females and 6 males? And also could you give some ideas for sexing quail? Thanks

There's a link to the stickied threads for Quail at the top of the Quail forum page. Click on that and you will find articles/threads about colours and sexing.

If you want high fertility then 1 male to 2 females is the best, but for happy females I'd go for no less than 3 per male. Use your kindest, gentlest males, not the crazy/aggressive ones.
