We have our current brood of 4 chicks, now 5.5 weeks old, in a mini coop with it's own yard area. They are seen and are sort of around the other hens.
We have 4 more day olds coming the end of April and 4 broody hens.
The original intent was that we would just put them under the same hen as she is a great mom.
So my thought is that i would get 8 chicks and have 2 of the hens in the mini coop, 4 for each hen. Will that be to crowded? The coop is about 4'X4'X3+' tall.
If this doesn't make sense please let me know.
