I got four cockerels out of six chicks i bought, i know i'm for sure keeping one and i would like to keep one more but i don't think i have enough hens. Would 14 hens be enough for two roosters? I think i saw somewhere that if you have more than one roo, you will have to have ten hens per roo but i wanted to be sure.

One of the roosters will become dominant and probably won't let the other rooster mate your chickens. But it all depends on the rooster, Maybe he will.

I hope this helps!!

i have three roosters and twelve hens they each have their "girlfriends" and they dont like to share 1:4 is a good ratio(for me) i would not have any more roosters than that though but more hens would be fine

Wow. I always thought you had to have at least 8 hens per rooster, glad to know it's less. What breeds are your roosters?
