How many Hens per Rooster?

Oersonally, ny groups range from 2 per male to 4 tosoon to be 7 per male provided we don't lose any. I also have s pair of ayams since I only got 2 to hatch. As long as the rooster doesn't over breed, I don't seem to have a problem with to few

thank you so much. We purchased sexed pullets so we would not have this issue but ended up with this Leghorn "pullet", who is about 4 weeks old now

We also have a jersey giant that's comb is very small but is starting to become the tad bit pink, also an Easter egger that I read can be difficult to sex as well

I have bred Leghorns for years, and at times one of the girls, no joke, will color up crazy insane early.

So, especially with white Leghorns, do NOT go by wattles and comb growth or color.

You have to wait for the male feathers to grow in. Saddle and hackle feathers.
