how many hens

I live in Florida so even in the dead of winter my birds are outside. The run in the plans opens into a large pen so there is plenty of outside room for 6 or 7 birds.

Can I use this house for that many birds? They only go inside when the sun goes down and it's bed time. The house has no door so as soon as they are up they move into the enclosed run and wait for me to open the door.

Do you have heavy breeds? I would only house 3 birds max in the 3x4 actual coop. It you have Bantams possibly 4-5.

That small of a coop would be super crowded with more than 2-3 birds even in that climate.
You can get away with squeezing extra birds in a large coop but in a small coop you are much more limited. The birds can never get away from each other.

Rule of thumb is 4 sq. ft per full size bird.
