How many males can live together w/out females?

I think I have 8 males and 2 female coturnix quails. How many males can live together peacefully w/out females?

I've had 5 or 6 together, as long as they have enough space it's probably fine. They just crow a lot. I think they fight more when they have to share females than when they are alone .

I had 10 in a pen they mated with eachother but no issues
