How many nests do you have?

Ive got four hens making nests right now.

One black scovie hen on a nest of 20 or so she is now broody.

One cayuga cross mallard hen ( and maybe someone else ) who had 22 eggs in a nest, but i took out six bad ones

One buff x mallard hen with 14 eggs

then there is one nest I think is being shared by my magpie and magpie cross mallard hen, that had about 12 - 15 eggs in it.


So im hopiing I had scovie babies on the 23rd and that my other girls go broody soon! but just in case Theydont ive already ordered two dozen mutt eggs as well as am hopefully getting some more eggs from a friend BYCer on here

I have to clean my bator today, bleach it out! Lol

Three Scovie girls on nests of 14, 12 & I believe about 19. I'm trying to decide whether or not to let my last two girls set up nests at this time or not.

I just had an Ancona hatch last week, 12 out of 14 hatched. And then I had a very small Muscovy hatch this past weekend, 4 of 6 eggs hatched. I am contemplating letting one of my other scovie girls sit she has a nice nest of about 17 right now. I have been breaking up two of my other Ancona hens who REALLY want to sit. I will let them sit, in a month or so, but right now we only have so much brooder space. About the time the little ones we already have in there are out we will be getting our goslings and turkeys. I figure after mid April hits they can nest all they want, I just can't bear to think of all those babies and mommies cooped up indoors because I freak about the weather.
