How many people use pond de-icer?

I just ordered a pond de-icer from Amazon since the ducks little pool was frozen over this morning and they were pretty confused all day so I ordered a 250 watt for their kitty pool because they said it was safe for a plastic pond and the wattage matched the chart for gallons and region 《kansas) and my question is how many people use something like this in their pool or is it too dangerous?

I would suspect as long as it doesn’t run dry you should be good.

You will be fine. Attach the cord to the pond somehow, so they can't knock the deicer out.
