I usually use 4-6 depending on the size of the egg most of the time I weigh a chicken egg and use as many quail eggs it takes to weigh that amount.

i've found we commonly get 12 gram eggs, so 4-5 would equal similar results to a chicken egg i believe

Cooking has a lot of flexibility in it, but it's easier to know if it's 4 or 5 if you use a measuring cup. Egg quantity can really change the consistency of a recipe.

I use two of my 16 gram eggs and one of my 12 gram eggs. It works ok for me, id say roughly 3 depending on the size of the egg.
