If you look closer you can see 3 pekin bantams already in there.

as a rule of thumb its 3 bantams per 10 square feet.
1 large fowl per 10 square feet.

multiply the length and width of the run, divide the answer by 10 and multiply by 3. that is the approximate maximum number of bantams your run will hold.

figure how many the numbers say, then plan on 2-3 less than that. Better to have a few less birds than have overcrowding issues and have to get rid of birds later.

I've got 9 birds. I did the numbers and it gave me an answer of 60+!
You sure it's not divide by 10 & then divide again by 3?
Gave me a more resonable answer no way will I ever have 60 birds.

the figure i gave you was for bantam chickens. for large fowl its length X width then divide the answer by 10.

with bantams you can usually fit 3 in the same space as 1 large fowl. thats why i told you to multiply in the end.

it is always better to have more area than you need.

i havent seen any measurements, but lets say your run area (not including the coop) is 20x40. you multiply that together for an answer of 800 then divide by 10. the answer would be 80 standard sized (white rock, rhode island red, etc). in that same area (though i wouldnt recommend this) you could have 40 standard sized chickens and 120 bantams. or 240 bantams. i hope this makes since.

now in a more perfect world you should allow 50-75 square feet per chicken, this should keep some grass on the ground. if you took that same 20x40 pen would be good for 16 large fowl (at 50 square feet per chicken). so having to much space is actually a good thing, especially in the run.

most feeds lack some nutrition, chickens make it up by eating grass, seeds and weeds, and insects. thats where the run is important.

Ok. I've got at the moment 3 bantams & 5 standards. I'll probably be losing 2 Standards and one of the bantam cockerels is going to a nice new home.
So that should leave me with 2 bantams and 3 standards.
The run is about 23 x 15 ft, and the attached coop is 10 x 13ft.
So that's a lot of chickens 100+

So that's a lot of chickens 100+

23 X 15 = 345 / 10 = 34-35 chickens in the RUN

10 X 13 = 130 / 4 = 32-33 birds in the COOP

You can't count the coop and run together

Id suggest you not have more than 25-30 birds no matter what breed

I won't even be having that many guys cause I live in a town not the country. 10 adult birds at any given time will be my Max. I don't need more than that.
