I have a quaker style coop with 3 perches. Its 5' x 8' with 12 chickens in it. yes it is a little crowded but they are fine. THe only issue is at night where they roost is to close to the wall the crap on the 2x4 studs on the wall. I want to move it away but i'm very limited in space.
i'm thinking of going from a ladder style perch with 3 rungs to just 1 rung 18" high. THere really isn't room for more then 1 rung for them to roost on. I will have roughly 84" maybe a little more for the chickens to perch on. Is 84" enough for 12 chickens though?
