Does pedegree play a role as to how many eggs/ clutch, or how many clutches, a mature peahen will lay ??.Light and Days length, may be , temp. of the area play a role. as per the timing when to start laying. If the temp gets very cold for a few days in the middle of an active laying stretch, will the peahen voluntarily stop laying until the weather returns to comfortable levels or does it happen automatically due to physiological or hormonal changes in her reproductive system ???. It is said that a hen will not sit on eggs until she finishes laying entire clutch. She will not lay another clutch for that year, after hatching. If the eggs are taken away from her, she will continue to lay more, more clutches. Does it happen automatically ? or the peahens thinking has got some thing to bring about a female hormonal change in her reproductive system. ?? Can a peahen voluntarily stop or postpone laying an egg for a couple ofdays that is due for laying on that particular day ?Can we share some opinions and experiences ??
