If you are patient and look hard, you can find pullet chicks for $20 each, that's the cheapest I've seen them. Roosters are much cheaper, sometime free. I don't know anyone selling older pullets now.

I expect them to be cheaper, or at least more available next spring.

OK thanks. I was just thinking about maybe buying hatching eggs, and selling the offspring after they mature and wondered what would be a fair price to sell adult and young birds.
