How much do you need to sale.eggs

Depends on your customer base, honestly. For a while I was giving eggs away because I had no customers - I was donating to the local soup kitchen! I'm gradually building a customer base now but I had to start by selling low ($2/doz.) until people came to appreciate the quality of my eggs. They are clean and dated. So my prices are going up! I am now getting $4/doz. Local store eggs are about $5. I keep my prices low though bc my customers are mostly fixed-income retirees like myself.

I just want to point out that I don't expect to turn a profit selling eggs, or even, for that matter, break even. I'm just happy to have all the eggs my family needs and good tick control, along with the pleasure of watching the antics of my little feathered lawn ornaments!

My break even cost is real close to $4/dozen. But I give mine to family and trade with neighbors for honey.

Before selling too many you could check your state laws. My rural state shouldn’t care but they require sellers to be registered and pay a small amount.
