I have some silkie chicks hatched out. I’m letting them stay with their momma hens (we had two go broody) until the moms aren’t interested in caring for them anymore. I read that can be between 5-8 weeks of age. How much would you sell them for at that age?

For some reason the video isn’t uploading because it says it’s empty. But there is black, white, a couple gray, and one black with a white marking on his/her head.

They are also all bearded silkies if that makes a difference

I'd do 10, rarely 15 for them since they're bearded and should be off heat. But the 15 would only be if they were a color/type i was actively looking for

That really depends on the area that you live. For example, back when I was in Maryland started pullets would go for $30-$40. Now that I'm in Iowa I see them listed for only $10-$20. I would look up your local craigslist and see what the average prices are for them then go from there.

There are no silkies near me on my Craigslist.

Here in cali any pullet starts at 20 to 30 bucks already. You'll be lucky to find a good bird at a good price. I'd say a silkies here at 8 weeks are roughly 30 to 40 bucks.
