How much feed do they eat?

I have 5 8week old guinea's and 12 7week old pullets.
Should I be going through 25lbs of chick feed a week.
I have a gravity feed feeder. Are guinea's opportunity eatter's. It seems like they are always at the feeder.

I was thinking about limiting the feed to daily rations.
That might prompt my guinea's to free ranger/forage more.

WOW. I hope not, i have 30+ keets in the brooder now. Hope they won't eat me out of house and home!

Well when i got my first it was a situation like yours. THen we built a bigger encloser for them to go outside and we have one of those huge up-side down feeders and i fill once every 2 weeks now. what i do is take some of their food and scatter it were the hang out mostly when they are outside. Then i lock em out for a little bit or a couple hours. Then i open the door back up for the hens to lay at exactly 3 o'clock I'm lucky none are laying outside but always come in at 3 o'clock and lay. I'm happy with my flock. But during winter they start eating their food at all times cause im in alaska and we don't really have any insects in Winter.

I've got 9, 5 week old guineas out in the pen right now and they eat one small coffee can of gamebird starter each day......they'd probably eat more except they stay up all night filling up on bugs that swarm around their heat lamp

Thanks for the advice.
I have a 8x10 coop, with a 4x4 roost pole, with 4 slate staggered upwards. I open the doors at 7am and close it before 9pm.
I've read all I can find about rasing keets with chicks and for the most part they all get along. This is my very first time raising any kind of farm animal.
I'll be watching more more suggestions on topic that are of assistance. This is a great site.
