How Much Flex Watt Tape?

How many feet would I need if I used it to heat a Magic Chef 3.6 cu. ft. mini refrigerator? I just discovered this tape so am clueless. Can I run the tape through the water heater thermostat like you do with a bulb?

i would think you could use it with a water heater thermostat and i would go with 3 feet,,,,,???? just what i would do

wire the thermostat to the heat tape like you would a light bulb, and place the thermostat a half inch off of the heat tape,,, or maybe sitting directly onto the heat tape,,, i am just guessing i do not know for sure if you have up to 4 feet covering the whole back side of the incubator i would go with just letting the thermostat sit directly onto the heat tape
