I was woundering how many lbs of feedper bird to get a cornish type hen and a 8 to 10 pound bird. I know it won't be exact but ballpark from you people that have raised them. Thanks.

In 8 weeks they will consume about 16-20 lbs of feed / bird. This is on the high end. Weights fluctuate with weather but you will average about 5-6 lbs dressed.

I usually figure 4 birds per 50lb bag for 8 weeks to get a 6lb dressed bird.

If you want a 8-10lb dressed bird, you'll probably want to go for 3 bird to a bag. However, as mentioned, weather does make a difference. If you key word search the meat section for feed per bird or feed per lb, you might be able to find some old threads that give aproximate feed to lb ratios. I forget what they are, but it is somwhere between 2-3lbs of feed per lb of bird dressed, but if not raised in temp controlled rooms, likly a bit more than industry standards.
