How much light (brightness) does it take?

Mine started laying again about 2 weeks ago. I have a light in the coop and I started turning it on In the AM before I go to work and turning it off when I go out after work to collect eggs and check food and water. We also put a heat lamp in this past week as we have had sub zero temps. 6 to 11 eggs per day from 20 hens.

Congratulations on your first egg!

Seriously, I have my light in the coop on a timer to give the girls 12-14 hours of light. Since the days a a bit longer now, I adjusted it a couple of days ago. Seems to keep them busy and happy.
