I know how much to feed a Cornish cross if I am raising it for meat but I want to keep 4 or 5 hens to raise and breed next year. I was going to try and cross them to a Leghorn and maybe make a slimer meat bird that will still grow fast. This will be an experiment. How much feed should the hens get if I want to keep them alive for as long as possible? 1/2 cup a day? Less? More? Has anyone else raised and crossed the cornish cross before? I think I talked to someone who did in a different forum and he said he had success.
