How much should I handle my chicks?

I have chicks that are 2 weeks old and I have heard to much oil from the skin is bad for them but not enough handle can result in them afraid of me/humans. I want chickens that will love me and not be afraid of me but no sick. Thank you in advance for all the replies!

Handle as much as you want-they will be fine. I have never had a problem with too much handling

Depending on weather I sit with mine in a playpen in the yard. I cuddle them as much as they let me. Some of them are not cuddlers others jump in my lap as soon as I sit down.

We've been snuggling with ours since the beginning! They look forward to the nightly family movie now and will actually start calling for us if we don't come get them in time

Cuddle and handle as much as possible! When I got my first ones I would put them down the front of my jacket and let them sleep while I read a book or did something while sitting. I would also take them outside and let them play in the grass, after a very short time they followed me like a mama hen and would take refuge under my legs. I would also just sit by their box and watch them or talk/sing to them, now when they hear my voice they come running. I have several that are lap sitters and one yanks on my pants until I crouch so she can climb into my lap. The more you handle then the friendlier they will be!
