Hello! I hope I am not posting this in the wrong location but since I have duckies hopefully this will be well received. I have 16 1 week old khaki Campbell ducklings that seem to be doing very well, I currently have them on a waterfowl starter but I am just curious are they supposed to be have access to said feed at all times? I have found a bunch of information on the nutritional makeup required but not as much on exactly how much they should be eating. Basically as of now I refill it as soon as they go through it. Any advice is greatly appreciated as this is my first time raising ducklings… or any baby bird for that matter.

For now, feed and fresh water available at all times. I offered mine free for all until they were ready to leave the brooder. Once they had full access outdoors, their food and water was only given during the day - not while cooped. I have feeders that they can access any time, but since they also forage, they don't eat as much. Ducklings eat a lot though. 😁

I leave feed down all the time. I clean the bowl every time I go in to check on her & put in new feed, but food & water are always available.. Sounds like you're on the right track.
