Can anyone tell me how much (what strength/ dosage) to give our cockerel who has paralyzed legs? His are due to a freak accident (see my other post). He is improving but I would like to help him along with the vitamin B as I have read on here that it has helped for a lot of people/ chickens, but no one says how much they give, or what kind, other than Bcomplex! Help!!!!

B complex vitamins are water soluble, so any excess is passed out of the body in kidney waste. I would probably take a 1/4 tablet and crush it onto food, or dissolve 1 whole tablet in a little hot water, then add it to 1 gallon of water for him to drink each day. The most accurate way to give it is to use a poultry vitamin in the water where everything would be in the proper proportion. Avian Super Pack and Rooster Booster are good brands.

Ok...well, I can't get Prednisone for him, but I did start him on baby aspirin today, I crushed one up in his food at dinner feeding. He eats and drinks well, although he didn't at first. I don't know if this is brain damage, nerve damage, or maybe just a case where he has pulled a muscle or otherwise damaged the leg. That being said (and I'm sorry I'm so undecided..) do you think it would be better to switch to the crushed b complex tab, and take him off the Rooster Booster? Or just leave him with Rooster Booster and aspirin?

I have Hypericum too, but I haven't used it, since I don't know for sure if it's a neuro issue. I have used it in the past to successfully treat a pullet with a neuro issue.

Sorry, but my last post listing the crookneck link was in reference to the B complexdosage that you asked for which it recommends at 1/4 tablet.
