Horse at my brothers drops a youngin an the male in the pasture is trying to kill it. No one is home but my sister saw it on the way out the door to work. I was called to take care of it... Took these pictures an sent to my brother an his wife who were both at work.....

Your post reminds me of just how blessed us country people are. I can't think of a better way to start the day than a view like that!

What a cutie.
Did your brother know his mare was breed?
Good thing your sister saw what was going on and told or there may have been a dead foal when your brother got home.

sometimes geldings and studs are really good around babies, my gelding and a friends stud are often the buddy horses for the very little ones when mom gets ridden or at weaning time. other male horses go nuts and try and kill them. for that male horse you had to move around today I WOULD NOT trust him with a little one again, even a weanling or a yearling.
