How odd is this???

I have a 4 week old chick pecking the HELL outta the top of the waterer. What is UP with that??

Mine actually peck the floor of the brooder like that, and I'll go and answer the door. No one is ever there..... hehe!

I have had mine do that. I think they believe they can get the water another way.

(Or maybe not, as they peck the side of the brooder tub as well!

Mine usually do that because there is a little spot on the top of it. I think they think that it is food.

We have a double brooder made out of old luan closet doors. There are seven goslings in one side and 37 chicks in the other. Sometimes I swear they are communicating using morse code.
