i have one in my tank. hes about 6 inches maybe. well i caught him a few days ago and he wont eat. how often do they eat?

I have no idea..
Just stick a few feeder fish in with him and wait it out, i guess...
what did you catch him with? Maybe try that??
or... but some fish attractant stuff and spray the feeder fish with it... maybe he'll go after them then??

seriously though, I dont think they do well in captivity that is probably why he is not eating.

there is a restaurant in the dells in Wi. that has had them and others for years pike musky etc. and they seem to doing OK. They feed them feeder fish like jas been suggested it probably has alot to do with water temp their metabolism slows downs speeds up depending on water temp it seems like 65*-75* would be close to their ideal temp.
