How often should I change the wood shed

Is there any rule of thumb for changing the wood shed bed?
Our baby chicks are about 1 week old, and there are 4 of them.
The brooder dimension is: 36 5/8" x 21" x 19 1/2"

If I change it often enough (once a day),
can I lysol spray the used one, put them under the sun for few days and reuse them?

When it looks like they can't step anywhere without stepping on poo, it's time to change it. You need to throw it out, Lysol is bad for chicks.
